Imzadi is the first luxury artisan perfume company to establish in Shanghai. The founder of this brand looks for inspirations from art, history, literature, and music. They began by launching thier first two perfume collections, which celebrate some of the most beloved women in Chinese history and literature. To me, the biggest challenge of this project was to understand the traditional Chinese literary and historical context, and update all old and classic images to a modern sleek look. Different from most coloured illustrations that I have done before, these are vector art. That is also a big challenge to me to create watercolour textures and brush strokes.
